The only solace is that Memphis has a recent history of coming back from double digit deficits in the 4th quarter. This will be a problem for the Dubs, who seem to have strong 3rds and weak 4th quarters, witness their losses to the Grizzlies this season.

The Sixers are pretty impotent without the league MVP.

They're tough to beat when he's on the court.

And when Danny Green is money from beyond the arc.

Yeah the series is far from over. I knew Joel Embiid would be back. He should be MVP.

    He's not, apparently.

What a joke - no pun intended.

I haven't seen any of this series. Is Embiid out?

He was out the first two games with concussion symptoms, and the Heat went ahead 2-0. He's been back for the last two and now the series is tied.

Meanwhile, Jokic is on a golf course, somewhere.

Dude, it's a regular season award. The playoffs are irrelevant. Jokic dominated all the so-called "fancy stats" and those seem to be what the voters care about.

Jokic's stats were also likely helped rather than hindered by Denver's second and third best players both missing nearly the entire season, since that puts the ball in his hands more often.

I knew Embiid was out the first 2 games and came back. Must've misunderstood your post.

The officiating in yesterday's Suns-Mavs game was atrocious. Toward both teams. The refs need to stop being so nit-picky and let the players actually play.

To pretend that they don't take the player's impact on team performance is kind of missing the point. Yes, it's a regular season award, but it shouldn't (and often doesn't) just go to the guy with the gaudiest stats. Think WAR, and where his team finished. That is important too.

Well, I prefer to face Boston instead Milwaukee in the conference final, but in honor of Geezer wouldn't mind if the Greek and Bucs just win it all.

^ They won it last year, Vic. If they win 2 years in a row, they'll just get bored with it.

Yes I know they won last year. If they beat the Heat I'll root for them to win again. But I gotta root for the home team. Whoever wins will be 4-2 I think.

One slot left and here's hoping the Mavs pull off the upset. Sorry progmatist, I gotta root for the best match-up for the Dubs.

Suns only scored 10 points in the 2nd quarter.

I got home from a concert around 9:30 and put the game on. The score was 111-65 midway through the fourth quarter. Wonder if the game threatened any all-time records for game 7 blowouts?

The Suns clearly didn't even bother showing up for the game. Jason Kidd is no doubt dancing in the streets right now. He's still bent out of shape about half the crowd booing him...........after he beat up his wife. I've got news for Mr. Kidd: he could've been playing in any city in the league. Half the crowd would've booed him after he beat up his wife. He's just lucky cancel culture wasn't yet a thing at the time.
