Any improvement over how antiseptic it sounds.

The original sounds fine to me.

TSoNE seems a bit shrill or harsh to my ears. I think it may be significantly improved by a remaster.

Banks of Eden was available on vinyl when first released. Which sounds great BTW. Not sure a remixed version is even necessary.

I got Flower Power and Stardust from Foxtrot earlier this week, and I’ve really been enjoying the sound. Never got into FP, but this new version has me playing it over and over!
Just through most of disc 1 of Stardust, and I hear no artifacts on it.

Really? I hear no warmth at all. For lack of a better term, it sounds like a white room lit with florescent bulbs.

I’ve never had a problem with the way it sounded myself. I’d be interested in hearing a remix and/or remaster for sure, but the original has never bothered me. And I played the heck out of it over the years.

Are you able to check out Poor Mr. Rain's Ordinary Guitar? Also check it on Spotify if you have it to compare, because the Spotify 2022 remaster version definitely has the artifacts. Even with $30 earbuds I can hear them.

It would be great if 2nd pressings may have been fixed.

I can't really imagine BoE sounding any better!

Agreed, I don't think it needs any changes. I got the vinyl copy when it was released in 2012, as well as the CD, and they both sound great.

Sounds me me like he’s not rereleasing BoE, as he said just the albums up to it. That’s my interpretation, anyway.

I think the main goal is to have all their catalog on vinyl, and to get everything back in print.
I think Desolation Rose got a vinyl release, so everything before that would need to be re-released.
As someone who's been a fan but didn't have a chance to get a lot of the older albums, I'm really enjoying this chance to add TFK to my collection!

^^ Yes, I own a vinyl copy of Desolation Rose. Which I purchased when first released.

Ok, I couldn’t have been more wrong. I’m exploring the new Stardust We Are in depth now, and there are pops and clicks all over it!
    The sound is phenomenal otherwise.
Has anyone had any communication with Roine or Inside Out about the pops?

I see that Flower Power and Stardust We Are are both available in NA for the first time. Amazon has them in stock. Has anybody picked these up, and checked if they're the same version as the ones released in Europe? I'm hoping that perhaps they were unavailable for this long because they cleaned it up. Probably wishful thinking.

He seems to be acknowledging the situation but is busy with preparing the next remixes/remasters and he's making sure there are no such artifacts on these. He has not actually investigated what is being put out by the label just yet, but suggested there could be a problem with the DAT source tapes that he somehow didn't notice.

Ok, so it's clearly useless to ask to have my copy changed, they probably belong all to the same macro-batch (is that word?)

Update: when to Record Store, the played the cd but couldn't hear the glitches. (How could they spot them in a noisy crowded room?) They told they sold a lot of them but nobody returned a copy. I also told them about people that reported the problems here. However, they will send it back and ask for a replacement. When I said "the replacement will likely be as bad" they didn't even answered me. Let's see what happens

^ It's a real shame that two outstanding albums have that issue. I still can't believe how this mix/master was OKed and given the green light...

True! I was really loving it, but the glitches really put me off...

Do these glitches sound any worse than a crackle on a vinyl Lp?

They've lost some of their warmth.

I probably get what you mean, but it's really not the same "sonic experience"...
Thing is that it's not just glitches, I heard also some distorted-sounding metallic parts, like the audio was somewhat ruined.
