    Track #5:

Interviewer of reprobate ne'er-do-well musicians of the long-haired rock n' roll persuasion at: www.velvetthunder.co.uk and former scribe at Classic Rock Society. Only vaguely aware of anything other than music.

If you're actually reading this then chances are you already have my last album but if NOT and you're curious:

I do too. So far it's only The Court that I'm not wild about. The other four have been great IMO.

Yeah...so far it's been enjoyable and kind of fun hearing it a song at a time (for me, I know that isn't so popular with others). I'm able to really spend more time each month with each new song.

Does anyone know the release date? This track sounds great.

At this point no release date for the album has been provided. This latest update made mention to news about the "release plans" for the album coming soon.

That wonky pitch modulation effect is really unnerving.

This is a wonderful track, superb and the sound of a creative genius still at the top of his game.

Given that he's releasing one track each Full Moon, he's probably waiting for that eclipse next year to release the whole album.

I'm a long way from knocked out by the new track, but it's the best of the new ones so far, imo.

I like it, I'm picking up a strong Bowie vibe in the verses. I can't pick the exact song yet.... But I will.

I haven't been able to get myself to sample the stuff yet. I felt so burned by "Up" and somewhat by "Us", as I feel like he just keeps repeating himself with new age droning with occasional djembes behind it. How much time does the dude need to just drop the damn album?? Hasn't it been long enough? I'm hoping to be pleasantly surprised. Anything fresh to be heard here?

Another fangrandaddy here. Loving the glitchy little touches in the production and also Peters vocal delivery.

    Relistening now

I like this new stuff pretty well but I fear he's Steven Wilsoning himself with these single releases over a long period, thus killing any momentum a new album release might have.

I like this one more than the others, but still sounds very "by the numbers" to these ears.

If you haven't liked anything he's released in the last 30 years then frankly the answer is unequivocally "no."

So far, I feel that these tracks all have kind of a kinship with his soundtrack work from the last 25 years or so; they seem to exist as unrelated "islands" so far. I guess that's because they were pieced together over the course of decades, not all written within a few months of each other and specifically meant for an album (like his first few solo albums). Hell, I'd be happy just to hear one track that tries something different or breaks new ground.

Be careful what you wish for. You might get Gabriel Tuvan throat singing.

Well he keeps repeating himself... very hard to not do it ... but... Peter is back... it is what matters

At least he got Manu Katche back on drums. I'd be interested in catching the tour if the tickets weren't so damned overpriced.

  24. #199
I agree 100% about the ticket prices. Wanna go but ticket prices are too high.
