I got Radio Massacre International's Completely Solid States set, and a few Steve Roach things that he had at "Name your price" (I went two bucks each on the Roach items).

With "Name your price" items I usually think "I don't want to pay too much, but I don't want to pay too little, but I don't want to pay too much, but I don't want to pay too little " and end up buying something with a set price.
The last one for the year. Will be getting some releases from non-Bandcamp sources yet.

I figure if they're offering it at "Name your price", it's ok to give them just a few bucks. I'm sure if they really needed to, they would use a set price. And certainly with someone like Steve Roach, well, let me tell ya, I own something like 83 albums from him, in one form or another. So if Steve is gonna put an album or two up for "Name Your Price", I reckon I'm justified in kicking in just a couple bucks.

James Grigsby - Illusions

I blame Wynton, what was the question?

Hi Michael
I think I'm going to end up liking it a lot, I'm not really a free jazz guy but this works for me. At times minimalist & ambient others brutal and dissonant. There's lots of multiple layered sax over the drums and it rarely stays with a theme for long. He does blow at times (in the good way). Patrick is for me one of the most interesting saxophonists around at the moment.

I'm really enjoying is latest "Evergreen". it's mostly an electronic release with some well placed woodwinds but mostly minimal. It's one of my favorites of 2022, highly recommended if you havent heard it.

I usually go with 8 bucks for a full-length "album" and 5 bucks for an EP. I almost never purchase single-track downloads, but the few times I did I think I paid a buck.
There is a Japanese artist I like who charges 900 Yen (about 10 bucks Canadian) for everything, but some of them are over 1 hour and some of them are under 10 minutes. That annoys me.
So does anyone if they're planning to continue doing Bandcamp Friday in 2023, or is it now a done deal?
Seems like it's all over,

^ I think that graphic was up during their intermission, and the Fridays came back so I'd wait and see unless something more definitive gets posted.
I seem to remember they skipped January, probably because everyone spent their money on Christmas gifts. So my guess is they won't be back until February, if at all.

Just bought the Caravala Escarlate - III download after listening at Zappathustra's strident insistence! It is excellent, though short.
Don't forget, there's a new Molesome album from Mattias! I bought it when it was released, but I'm waiting for the CD to arrive to listen to it. But the last one was excellent (and I think went a little under peoples' radar, even here!).
