Analog Synthesists

I'm always looking to expand my collection of great electronic music, but there are two analog synthesists whose catalogs have gone dormant since they died, and I'm having trouble tracking down some releases:

I listened to Steve Roach and Robert Rich's Soma the other day, I don't know if it's analog, digital, or a combination. It is a nice recording the way they achieve the spaciousness and sort of trippy too. The inside booklet says: The Vedic writings describe a drink made from plants which could help one commune with the gods. I seem to remember seeing a doc on other cultures using psychotropic plants and this reminds me of that. Pretty cheap used prices over at eBay. You can hear it over at YT however.

Yeah, that was probably talking about Ayahuasca. Supposedly very powerful stuff, most people who do it are glad that they did but never want to do it again.

I don't think Rich & Roach are quite at that level.

There's some Rudiger over at Bandcamp. If you d/l the Audion 17 or some of the other ones that include the pdf you can read the publication too, which can be interesting.

I haven't read any mention of Rudiger Lorenz for many years. I actually collected all of his cds , but there was a fire and they were destroyed.

I also lost my Ron Geesin collection, but it was very fortunate that Mr. Geesin was kind enough to replace them by simply sending them in the mail.

Several of his official LP releases were never officially released on cd. His back catalog is fascinating. I collected several of his import albums in the 70s, but unfortunately not all are on cd. I greatly enjoy Ron Cycle1.

Wow, I thought I had a lot of Ron Geesin's stuff! I would like to add a recommendation for a DVD that features a lot of Ron: Atom Heart Mother / Ultimate Critical Review. I emailed Ron asking about it about 15 years ago, and he replied immediately saying it featured a lot of him (as well as his spanner collection)!

Got it. It is indeed Ron-centric. Or is that "Ron eccentric"?

I even bought the spanner book. Its.... eccentric. I see there's a Volume 2 scheduled for publication next year. I think I might have enough on spanners already.
