    New WytchCrypt Album

    Hi all,

I wanted to announce the release of my new WytchCrypt album, "Peste de la Mer" (Plague of the Sea). My primary progressive rock solo project is "Mutiny in Jonestown", but I felt it appropriate to announce this release here since WytchCrypt is also considered prog, being included in the ProgArchives database in the Experimental/Post Metal sub genre. I personally have a difficult time envisioning what in the world an "experimental/post metal" band is supposed to sound like, but apparently WytchCrypt checks off the boxes

Personally, I believe the most accurate description of WytchCrypt has come from various metal forums which call it Progressive Doom, but what do I know

Anyway you can check the new album out on WytchCrypt's bandcamp page:

More info on the band is also available on its ProgArchive page at:

    http://www.progarchives.com/artist.asp?id=9666

    Thanks for listening!
    Dennis

I like this!!! This is mysterious. The vocals are unusual. They are airy. I really enjoyed this. It's bewitching

Thanks for the kind words Jacob...glad you like it!

Since this album WytchCrypt has released another 2 similar albums...

"Les Triangle des Diables" (The Devil's Triangle) from 2023 features a single 40+ minute song called "The Lost Squadron" which explores one of many possible theories regarding the Bermuda Triangle.

"La Folie Chevauche le Vent des Étoiles" (Madness Rides the Starwind) released early 2024 features 4 songs all based on stories by HP Lovecraft.

You can get to them from https://wytchcrypt.bandcamp.com/

    Thanks for listening!
