    Arturia Microfreak

I am planning to get the Arturia Microfreak...the reviews I read are mainly good ...any experience in a band/live or recording contexte?

Looks interesting, though I'm not that enthousiast about the 'keyboard'.

^^ fair point on the keyboard...it's an interesting concept on the Microfreak but not necessarily and ideal choice depending on your use case.

What IS your use case? A monophonic sound source? Should work well, ditto for FX and textures. As a lead synth, it might be a bit of a frustration not having a more traditional keybed.

    Just my $0.02...
If you're actually reading this then chances are you already have my last album but if NOT and you're curious:

Also, Ephemeral Sun: it's a thing and we like making things that might be your thing: https://ephemeralsun.bandcamp.com

I am a guitar player..I want it mainly for soundscapes and an occasional knob turning...some of the presets I heard were great...

Just bought the cuty...the keyboard is interesting and you can use the midi-adapter included to pilot the module from another keyboard. Looking forward to some knob Fiddling for Xmas...

Any more thoughts/reviews on it from our members? Anyone use the Vocorder feature?

And has anyone been tempted by their new Minifreak?
Here is a review of it: https://www.perfectcircuit.com/signa...iAAEgKkHPD_BwE

So much interresting stuff, so little money. I really need to win a big price in the lottery. I suppose I would spend a lot on synthesizers and stuff. What else does a girl need?

I was tempted, although I think it would be a bit too redundant with other stuff I've already got. I AM considering the Minifreak VST next time Arturia does a sale though!

Thank you, John and Rarebird! I see your point John…you have quite a few bases covered already, but I know you’d have fun with one.

And Rarebird, you speak the truth! But the Micros do show up used a lot so there are sometimes some great deals to be had.

At this moment I'm thinking about the Cherry Audio Synth Stack 3 to add to my collection. Perhaps I buy it for my birthday.

And I'm downloading some more stuff here: https://kbrownsynthplugins.weebly.com/ but at this moment it doesn't seem to work well.
