    Happy rhodes anyone.

I first got into happy rhodes music in the early 1990s,and was truly moved and blown away by her incredible 4octave voice, and her deeply touching and moving lyrics. Think, kate bush ,david bowie, peter gabriel.i got to see her perform over the years, last time was in 2018 fronting the secutity project. My favorite cd of hers is warpaint ,and a great compialition of acoustic versions of her songs is rhodesongs.what are otherfolks thoughts on happys music.

One of my favorite singers (men & female). I have most of her solo-recordings from which I like both the more solistic works as well the recordings with the likes of David Torn and Kevin Bartlett.
I also have some of the albums from artist on which she's featured as guest (Robby Aceto, Kevin Bartlett (incl. Aural Gratification V. 1 & 2), Percy Howard's Meridiem V. 3, Bob Holroyd, Jeff Oster, Project Lo and Hansford Rowe) and of course two fysical CD's from Security Project who brought her back on stage after so many years!
B.t.w. 5 years ago another compilation was released, called Ectotrophia: https://www.discogs.com/master/13688...es-Ectotrophia

    There's a nice, very informative fan-site too: http://happyrhodes.org/

When I was in high school in the early 90s they used play Echoes and Hearts of Space late at night on the local public radio station, and I'd sometimes record it. So for years I had this not-so-great recording of "Words Weren't Made for Cowards" from Echoes that I absolutely loved. I definitely remember thinking it was two singers for a long time, though. When I was in college a few years later I found a used cd of Warpaint, and eventually started exploring her other works once the internet came along. WWMfC remains one of my all time favorite songs, though.

Huge fan here. Live at the Tin Angel in Philly! Have collected all of her recordings. Delighted with her work with Security Project, saw them twice in Sellersville. Bummed that my recent back surgery prevented me from going to Happy's one-off solo benefit show for Vickie Williams in KC a few months ago.

"Warpaint" is definitely an all-time top-five album for me.

Count me as a fan. At some point when I was a buyer for a record store chain I was given a promo of one of her CDs. At that point I had some homework to do on her and pick up the discs I was missing. Love her work with Security Project as well.

Here're some lovely solo-songs from Happy Rhodes, recorded April last year for her friend Vicky Mapes Williams
