Apologies for the spelling and thank you for the correction, I assumed that the mix on the CD's was yours as well
I'm embarrassed, I should know how to spell your name, you've worked with many of my favorites of late but honestly, I was trying to read every review I could find on the net to see opinions on the surround sound BR and it's spelled incorrectly on a few of them too so maybe that stuck with me
There isn't a negative slant on the 5.1 in any review or on any quad or surround forum, so maybe my expectations were unrealistic and the fact that I waited some time to get them added to that and I probably should have had a few more spins before commenting
May I ask if you can share why Raindances and Breathless were not included in 5.1?
Such a complete set otherwise!
Well, Just picked up Fear of Music and can't recommend it enough. Jerry Harrison really decided to go quite wild in a lot of his choices but I think he really pulled off something special....there is lots of exciting additional detail here. Can't wait to hear Remain in Light.
Well, ideal for a Sunday morning, I dipped into the Atom Heart Mother quad mix.
The title track sounded spectacular, the choir sections and Funky Dung really benefitting from the 'opening out'. Fat Old Sun, a wistful piece of pure Englishness that can often bring a tear to my eye, brilliant also.
That makes perfect sense. And I too am a fan of “Scarcity…” I liked it when it first came out, and at the time, the bonus was that we all had something that was almost-Crimson in a time when there wasn’t much going on in the KC Universe. In retrospect, I do not feel that Fripp would have started the the Three Drummer era Crimson if not for Jakko and “Scarcity…” So to me, it is embed with even more specialness than it had at first.
Thank you, Jakko!
