    Multi Quote

Why does checking the Multi Quote icon not do anything for me? I try to use it to quote multiple levels for a reply, but it still quotes only the base level. I see other users able to do it - why not me? I'm on Firefox 90.

Are you talking about breaking a single quoted post into multiple parts? That needs to be done manually by adding tags. The Multi Quote feature is only for quoting multiple posts within a single reply. (So if you want to quote three different posts you would press the Multi Quote icon on the first two and the Reply With Quote icon on the third.)

Yes, I just discovered that on my own yesterday. So how do people enclose embedded multiple levels of quoted text in their replies?

So you want nested quotes, not just quotes in sequence? AFAIK, that also needs to be done manually. Probably the easiest way is to open a Reply With Quote widow for the older post, copy or cut the contents including the tags, close that window and open another one for the next level post, position your cursor directly after the [QUOTE] tag, and paste from your clipboard.
