If that is the cover of a new compilation album, Dean is really mailing it in these days.

It seems like Rhino is off to a pretty poor start since the Yes catalog buyout. Can’t we have 90125-40th Super Deluxe or something fun like that instead of another reissue of The Yes Album and a borderline useless singles compilation?

Trevor Rabin’s new album is also coming out October 6. That’s probably a much better use of your money than the singles compilation would be.

Yes had six Top 40 songs during the Atlantic years. Two are missing from this. Love Will Find a Way and Rhythm of Love-both from Big Generator.
Also, the single mix of "Big Generator," which I prefer to the album mix by a lot.
If Wiki is to be believed, here are Yes' singles from the Atlantic era:
Sweetness
Looking Around
Time and a Word
Sweet Dreams
Your Move
Yours is No Disgrace
Roundabout
Something's Coming
America
And You And I
Soon
Wonderous Stories
Going for the One
Don't Kill the Whale
Release Release
Into the Lens
Run Through the Light
Owner of a Lonely Heart
Changes
Leave It
Hold On
It Can Happen
Love Will Find a Way
Shoot High Aim Low
Rhythm of Love
Final Eyes
And 16 more came afterwards.
For them to claim this is a compilation of THE A-side singles is rather false.
That list includes singles from around the world. I didn't realize that "Something's Coming" had ever been released as an A-side, but apparently it was in the Netherlands. Rhino is presumably taking it as read that these are the A-sides released in the USA. That still doesn't make it complete, though.

If it was a chronological release of American A-sides, "Sweetness" would be the first track. However, "Life Seeker" was only released on 45 in the UK, as a b-side.
"Roundabout" had "Long Distance Runaround" on the b-side, fading during the final line. I'd listen to that for old time's sake if they put it on streaming.
They could have at least included the most interesting yes single edit total mass retain.

There is more being planned than has been announced, so fingers crossed we see some more interesting releases. But, yes, Yessingles is not very interesting (and also ruins my plan for a new prog-themed dating app).
Do you know who's to blame, though? Vinyl fans. This is a vinyl-only release. They're pushing these things out because there's a market to buy any old shit on vinyl. Instead of having to find new stuff in the archives to put on CD, the industry has shifted to churning out "collectible" vinyl releases. This thing is going to keep on happening unless everyone burns their vinyl and turntables.
