    Opinions on Wolf People?

I've been meaning to check these folks out for a while, and see they have three albums out.

Where do you think a newb, who loves that proto-prog sound, should start?

Ach! I forgot their new album Fain was out! But it and let us know what you think.

Steeple is a great place to start. Tidings I have not heard.

    From Steeple:

    Ohhh. New single:

    Hadn't seen this before!

There's an album update posted on their FB page, too, but I couldn't link it here.

Never saw this thread at the time.

I love Wolf People, and wish that I had gotten my dead ass out of the house and seen them when they did that US tour a couple years ago. Fain is my favorite by them.

I know it's irrelevant, but for the record, I don't consider them a Prog-Rock band.

I'm checking them out on spotify right now..

    Thanks for the recommendations!

    Fain is a fantastic record.

If you dig it, check out Baron's Torpor as well.

Put me in the fan camp for Wolf People. It looks like they're working on a new album too based on a recent FB post. I put up a small band page for them a couple of years back with a few notes, and just updated: http://undertheradarcds.blogspot.com...e-england.html

I'll have to check out Baron. I recall the name, and they fell off... well... my radar (ahem).

    Love this band.

    Steeple first imo.

Saw Wolf People play in a small shit hole in Philly. Hot hot set. If I remember correctly the drummer was wearing a Magma tshirt.

Baron is pretty good as well. It was started by ex-members if Diagonal but sound nothing like that band. Debut album is a grower.

There's a band I'd like to see a new album from. Anyone know if they're still a thing?

Fain is excellent, I should probably pick up Steeple. Will check out Baron.

(Diagonal) Me too - one of my favorites of these last few years. Looking at their FB page, there hasn't been any significant activity in close to 2 years.

    Their Facebook says November 11th.

I'm looking forward to a good ale, cool weather, and new Wolf People.

That song totally slays. Thanks for posting! Psyched for a new album.

And count me in as someone who wishes there'd be more from Diagonal, too -- though definitely, that Baron debut is really really good.

Man, I forgot to check out that Baron album when it was first mentioned upthread. Corrected and ordered!

Saw Wolf People, a few years ago in Toronto, in the same club I recently saw Blood Ceremony and Comet Control, two great Canadian bands, especially Blood Ceremony. The retro-rock and the stoner threads have all these recommendations plus a ton of other albums that are really great to track down.
