    The happiest Prog I've ever heard (with a healthy dose of humor and without getting schmaltzy) is Daevid Allen-era Gong. When it comes to more mainstream music, lots of good examples already.

    Yep. Good example. To be honest this kind of thing usually doesn't bother me much because I tend to view it as a mantra.

    Right!? This song is an absolute masterpiece IMO. Like many DM songs it needs high volume to feel the power.
