Me either! Was just checking it out. Footage from the Yes album lineup is super rare. Wow!
Cool! Thanks for posting.
That was fun! Thanks.
What can this strange device be? When I touch it, it brings forth a sound (2112)
What a treat on a cold, grey Saturday morning. Thanks for sharing!

Happy with what I have to be happy with.
That was really cool! Thanks for sharing.
That is obviously mimed to the studio track, but still... It takes a lot of musical talent to mime so perfectly that one could easily be fooled into thinking it is live!
Love Bruford's shades.
Jon Anderson appears to be playing a pedalboard as a keyboard instrument...?

Most likely it's a Dewtron Mister Bassman Bass Pedals unit. Chris Squire is known to have owned one, so it's probably his, on some sort of custom made stand that Anderson could use to cover the Moog part in the song. Here's a little video showing a demo of one:

YES! This is awesome, takes my breath away.
Here's another one from the same program! Jon on the chessboard!
...note the altered ending with a reprise of the a capella opening instead of the key drops with the organ.

Whoa. Very cool. Thanks for posting.

Love it. Thanks for posting.
Thanks to Bill for the Mr. Bassman post. Neat instrument.

Looking forward to my day in court.
Yup, had these for a while cool to see them on the interweebs finally. There's also a Perpetual Change video that was broadcast with these with a dancing bikini girl, but they don't show the band, just the girl and psychedelic effects.
Thx for both vids
Never seen either (seen pics of Jon's chessboard before, though).
The TYA line-up was always my fave (though Kaye's replacement wasn't too shabby either). Kaye's Hamond induced a power to the band that Rick wasn't able to duplicate (IMHO)
He looks like Pip Pyle, IMHO
thanks for the info, because it looks quite different to the Taurus bass pedal.
Wonder how much of that is playback though, in terms of music & vocals. In case it is, they're doing it well, but the vocals (especially Squire) seem not too well done at the end of YIND.
Between girls in bikini and Yes, my heterosexuality votes for the girl
my music collection increased tenfolds when I switched from drug-addicts to complete nutcases.
Chris Squire playing whithout a plectrum! First time I have seen that.
now that you mention it.... think.gif

I found that interesting as well. For the first section of the song he's shown using the pick, but the first close-up in the section where there's more of a walking bass line uses his fingers only, which makes sense from a style standpoint. I thought he might switch back and forth, but at least on the video he appears to remain with the fingers to the end.

Happy with what I have to be happy with.
Well that was fun! Thanks for sharing.
It's doubtful this is how he actually plays it on the recording, or truly live. For example, in the YIND video from Yessongs, he uses a pick throughout, even the walking line. Check out the video below, starting at about 4:40 and you'll see this. You'll also see the Dewtron at his feet.
I think in the promo video footage, he was just messing around.

For some odd reason, it never really occurred to me, that Chris is playing a walking line there, but he certainly is.
