Guessing he doesn't pitch? Interesting to see where they put him

In his young career - he has played short, 2nd and CF. While tall for a 2B, he "could" okay center and move Judge to left

Judge won't move to left. That canyon will wear him out; it's too big. Chisholm could be Gleybor's (walk year) replacement at 2nd, or, hopefully, play at 3rd, if he can, so they can DFA LeMahieu.

Typically crazy game in Boston last night.

    Skenes going tonight.

    Pirates won extremely ugly yesterday.

I hope Brent Rooker is available. I'd give up a top 5 prospect for him and more.

O's just got four runs in the first on one hit with no home run, and left the bases loaded.

    Four walks will do that.

May not get the second game in. Looks like the Wizard of Oz out there and sounds like the bombing in the Middle East.

Phillies apparently did not get the memo.

    "Don't pitch to Aaron Judge."

That game is a lost cause so let them get it out of their system.

Skenes was not his usual dominant self but still not bad. One earned run in 6 innings, 5 hits, 8Ks

No credit to the team that spanked them, huh? How predictable.

It looked like their starting pitching woes were going to sink them, especially after the bats went silent. 3 or 4 shutout losses, iirc. But the ship has righted, and I think they helped themselves somewhat at the trade deadline. I doubt they win it all, but they should be in with a chance.

Oh, and I have no doubt that you don't think the Guardians are actually great. You are just poking Ed.

That was a wasted trade for a sub par pitcher.

Huge series for Bucs this weekend. Need to take minimum two of three from Snakes.
With Cruz, Keller, and Skenes on the mound, I have hope.

It's nice to see the Pirates exciting fans these days. Especially with "Stillers" training camp opening, which usually takes away all the attention.

After pulling up to within 5 games of a playoffs spot, the Tigers have thrown in the towel at the trade deadline. Trading away Jack Flaherty and Mark Canha is the nail in the coffin. With all of the injuries the team is dealing with right now it is doubtful that they could have made a playoff run anyway, but they made it exciting up to the all-star break. AJ Hinch will be on year 5 of his contract in 2025 and I can’t imagine he won’t be on the hot seat if they don’t make the playoffs next year. That being said, most fans place the blame on Scott Harriss who has not exactly been stellar in his re-build plans the last two years. At least we held on to Skubal.

How realistic is it for them to have a shot next year? Is their farm system any good? Maybe they should tank for draft picks. Look how Baltimore turned things around with all of those years of futility. (That is not a poke at our friend; it's just a fact.) At least they have the pathetic Pale Hose behind them on a record-setting 39-win pace. It's unreal that they are 40+ games out at this point.

Orioles have their work cut out for them considering the Yankees finally have an easy schedule ahead of them.

    Then again, it is baseball.

^ Guardians are pitching Cookie tonight. He should be a long reliever at this point in his career. Should be an Orioles win tonight.

I honestly don’t know. I think if the current team were healthier that they could have been a playoff level team this year, but the injury bug has really taken it’s toll since the all-star break. With Flaherty being traded that makes 4 guys who were starters at the beginning of the year, not currently starting. Maize and Olsen are injured and Maeda has underperformed and moved to the bullpen, although that may change.

They do have some good young guys coming through the farm system. Colt Keith just got the call-up and has been doing well, but it is hard to say at this point.
