As long as Goff can hold up this level of play the lions should be contenders for awhile. Which is a weird fucking sentence to write.

The offense is fine. They need to shore up the defensive secondary and get another edge rusher and they should be at the same level they were last year.

Man the last thing I care about is football now. I don't bother with combines, draft picks, and crap during off season. So why am I posting then? I'm a little buzzed....

How much do you have to hate a guy to take the largest dead cap hit in history just to not keep him as a backup on your roster. It's not like he was Peterman terrible.

And finally I can wear Vikings gear again now that Cousins is officially in ATL

    50-37-1 with one playoff win.

It is about as low risk as you can get, only paying 1.2 million.

And Vikes pick up Aaron Jones from scrapheap after discarding Mattison earlier.

But if signing Sam Darnold was The Plan After Cousins Plan + Vikes better trade up for a next gen QB.

I like the Greenard signing as an edge rusher- tho that likely means Danielle Hunter is outta there - so it's a good hedge (and three years younger)

^ After watching Sam Darn It for around 6 games, you'll be pining for the days of Kirk Cousins.

I will not; that is for certain.

The issue is that Vikes have not seriously attempted to draft/cultivate a QB in a decade+

If they plan on playing Darn It, they're probably tanking for a QB in the 2025 draft. Wonder what Justin Jefferson will think about that?

Darn It has a one year deal for $10M.
This is not long term - but the Vikes have to make a move for a QB in draft....
