The title track featuring James LaBrie??

I think Joe Lynn should have sung in a quieter voice . the loud metal style kind of kills the vibe.

I agree. The vocals stick out in a negative way. Magic Pie's later albums suffer from the same problem.

This is cool because everyone thought Moonchild should have been longer.

It's from Cleopatra Records, which doesn't give me much hope. They churn these things out.

Well, with Joe Lynn Turner and James LaBrie in the album lineup, we probably shouldn't expect subtle vocal performances. At least JLT seems to have tried to sing softly to an extent.

Cleopatra’s in-house producer Jürgen Engler plays all the “additional guitars, bass and keyboards.”

The post-punk "Goth" band The Sisters Of Mercy were "blessed" with a Cleopatra Records tribute a while ago, and this was their formal response:

    Q. I'm in a tenth-rate goth band. That's as good as goth bands get. Naturally, we don't have the faintest idea what the Sisters are about, but we try to evoke as many superficial similarities as possible. Our 'original material' is devoid of substance and wit. What would you say to a whole album of Sisters songs, as played by my band and other pasty-faced Californian dweebs? Aren't Cleopatra Records always up for this kind of rubbish? We'll try to ignore everything you put out in the last thirteen years.

    A. Fuck off.

What I heard doesn't make me forget the original album. I rather want to forget the reimagining.

Despite the record label criticism, I rather like this rendition:

A tribute album with people I've heard of before. A first.

You're in the thread where the album is the topic thereof.

That sounds like a lineup for band I might conjure in a drunken dream... Joe Lynn Turner and Jah Wobble????!!!! Well, all of them together? WTF

I was hoping someone would mention it!

What happened was I followed the link under the video to Mel Collins' YT channel and I saw the "I Talk to the Wind" listed there as an album with one track. I found that curious. And I would like to hear more from him in this configuration.

Cleopatra Records like to release multiple tracks from albums as digital "singles". That's what you're seeing there.

The full album is on Bandcamp at https://cleopatrarecords.bandcamp.co...e-crimson-king There are different line-ups on each track.
