I blame Wynton, what was the question?

You don't think that's worth it, for somebody who really wants to see the show, but can't? They played two pretty long sets, when I saw them. And after being on the fence and balking at the ticket price initially, I'm glad that somebody had an extra ticket that I could use. It was a great show.

For the Livestream - why would someone pay $24.99 if they could pay the $5.99 monthly, then cancel. What am I missing?

FYI to anyone interested. OKC still has plenty of seats for the 12/13/24 show at the Criterion. I would hate to see this one get cancelled due to poor ticket sales.
I attended the Halifax show, it was excellent. And yes, we are the end of the world here, everything is West of us. Like with Beat and other name acts who come here and always say "it took us forty years to come, happy to finally be here". I was actually very surprised to see they were coming.
I was also surprised though to see Beat came here and did not go to larger Canadian cities like Ottawa, Winnipeg, Edmonton or Calgary. That could be on a secong leg, possibly?
Also bought the VIP for front row seat (something I could never get in Montreal or Toronto) and a tote bag full of cool goodies, Halloween came early :-)
just saw 'em in Milwaukee. incredible stuff. 1st set was really good, 2nd set was insane. I mean you could figure what they were gonna play but actually seeing it, wow. Every song in the 2nd set got a standing ovation. crowd energy was off the charts.
as I'm sure some folks have mentioned it's not *really* 80s Crim, Vai very much does not do what Fripp does, but he does add a touch that makes things looser and more fun. it was one of those shows where their technical abilities were off the charts and you could really tell by the times when they screwed it up a bit. really drove home how difficult it must be to play such interlocking bits in sync like that
if you're on the fence...you shouldn't be. I've listened to the Absent Lovers '84 live album countless times and have often considered it one of the best live albums ever made, I'll just say this was every bit as good as I hoped it would be

I knew of Vai's reputation, of course, but hadn't seen him play. I thought he was pretty extraordinary.
I will buy the blu ray and CD for this tribute band when it’s released. A great new take on 80s King Crimson.
I saw the 10/9 show in Red Bank and it was absolutely magic. Guessing this might be the Prog tour of the year?

The chemistry seems so evident, is it possible these guys might even generate a BEAT version of new music in an official release at some point?
I am all for a DVD release, but if they did get to release some new music, with all this chemistry and creative juices flowing, I would think they would have to call it something besides King Crimson. Something generic like Belew Carey Levin Vai has zero excitement but I am sure they come up with something with some pizazz!
The signature Elephant icon logo implies Elephant Talk might work. Maybe Cheap Talk?

Why wouldn't they just call themselves what they've already been calling themselves - Beat. They've established themselves as that very well now. And they've never pretended to be King Crimson, so there's no way that would even be considered (particularly without Fripp's musical contribution).
Also, in a fairly recent interview with Adrian that was posted on the KC reddit.
"Having added 21 concerts to meet demand for this fall’s tour, Beat is now eyeballing more dates for next year. Belew and Levin also hope to record new music with the quartet, too, though active individual careers make concrete plans challenging.
“Y’know, I was spending time with (Vai) in his studio and he said, ‘I’ve got this little guitar thing here and I keep hearing you, wondering what you would sing over and it and play along with it,’” Belew says. “I said, ‘So you’re thinking that we might actually write stuff together?’ and he said, ‘Yeah, I would love to see that happen.’”
So there seems to be interest in making new music together. Hopefully it happens.
Matthew Parmenter's band is called Discipline, which is of course what Fripp wanted to call his post-Red incarnation before it was decided to continue under the KC name. So that name is in use, but by a different group. Beat would at least be half of the same personnel as its source. (Or it could be spelled BEAT, but that might imply an acronym of the members' names, which it ain't.)
What we feel we have to solve is why the dregs have not dissolved.
There may be legal problems with that. There are (at least) 2 bands called The Beat already. The British band changed their name to the English Beat in the US and other places to avoid confusion, and the US band calls themselves Paul Collins' Beat. Maybe they could call themselves Beat featuring Belew, Levin, Vai, Carey? LOL.
