What can this strange device be? When I touch it, it brings forth a sound (2112)
Well yes, I saw Hackett many times when he didn't play any Genesis at all but by about 2010 his pulling power dwindled and he had to do the G thing which has proved very popular. I would argue though that Gilmour has a much higher profile than Hackett and doesn't actually need to play much Floyd apart from some big encores perhaps. Still, I'd be happy with Floyd tracks from AMLOR and TDB and when he releases his live album/dvd/blu rays he won't have to hand a big wedge of cash to Mr Waters.
If you're actually reading this then chances are you already have my last album but if NOT and you're curious:

The vAbout Face tour in 84 came to Toronto's Massey Hall and it wasn't sold out (but filled nevertheless) and he didn't play Floyd stuff
A few months later, Waters' P&C tour filled the MLG twice (a couple of months apart) and the second hald of the show was all Floyd. From memory it was jam-packed.
Gilmour should sue on that account, because he's got the short end of the stick.
my music collection increased tenfolds when I switched from drug-addicts to complete nutcases.
I'll stick to Mason

I blame Wynton, what was the question?
There are only 10 types of people in the World, those who understand binary and those that don't.
I'm one of the 212.
Freud would have had a blast with the 3 living Floyd's touring different music from the same group!
Hope DG plays some tracks from DG, About Face and Endless River. Maybe Childhoods End, part of Narrow Way, and Fat Old Sun. He is gonna need Comfortably Numb and 1 or 2 others because he is well, David Gilmour and his guitar and voice on PF are why most people will be there. I hope he does change it up, don't need the 6th version of some of those tracks.

Am I down for a copy of this album? Definitely.
Am I going to spend over $200 for a 2CD/1BD box set with five bonus tracks and his wife's scrapbook? Not a hope.

I assume the price will drop but I can't see it dropping to $60 or so which is where I'd be OK with a CD box with those extras.

I like that one a lot. Thanks for posting it.
The first two tracks are way better than most of Rattle that Lock.
Interesting vibe. He's not doing Gilmour-by-numbers.
That price is insane! Totally out of line with the prices for other similar sets! It should definitely be autographed for that price! Jesus, I’d almost order one from Amazon assuming that the price will go down and they’ll reimburse me, but if the album sucks… Dammit, I can feel that bitch pulling at me!
There's also a CD/Blu-ray-set which might be the best option: https://burningshed.com/artists/pink...blu-ray-bundle
I did see this on his website. I was interested in the bonus tracks and I do love 5.1 discs. This one is odd, it says album in Dolby Atmos and high resolution stereo mixes... My sound system does not play Atmos so I'm wondering does "high resolution stero mixes" include some other 5.1 format? Bluray audio? DVD Audio, SACD? Could it only be Atmos and a high res stereo mix? Any thoughts?
No Floyd, No Metman

Ok, so perhaps I won’t be that impressed with the album as a whole judging by single number 3 and other clips I have heard …
But that Romany song is the most emotional song I have heard for a long time. I simply adore the simplicity of her singing. No wailing, no exaggerated emotions but still it cuts through me massively.
What a star she is.
I pre-saved this on Spotify. That’s as far as I’ll go for now - haven’t listened to any singles.
