I have a drawer full of ticket stubs, many of which were torn in such a way to have only partial evidence of the band or date.
And back in the day 3/5 bands for 5 bucks shows at 9:30 were a real jumble, no paper trail.

I have an excel file with 1486 concert events I have seen (a 2 day festival is listed as 2 events).

I'm missing some dozens but probably less than 100.

I have mine all listed, some of them I don't specifically remember, too many to type up and who would care?

I couldn't begin to attempt to do this even though my list would certainly be a lot shorter than those mentioned so far.

When I go though my old ticket stubs I'm always surprised by how many concerts I went to that I have absolutely no memory of (e.g., King Crimson '84, Moody Blues '86).

Those 'surprise' concerts can be a head scratcher. Did I really see Tears for Fears? I don't remember the show.

There is no way I can remember them all. I figure I have probably averaged around 20 concerts a year since I was 17. I am now 62 so that puts me at around 900-ish concerts in my life as a very rough estimate. Of course, some of those were festivals with multiple acts. I have most of my tickets stubs saved, in the days before mobile tickets, but somehow I lost a whole bunch of them in the 80’s, so am missing a big chunk.

And then there are those I would be a bit embarrassed to list, like the Go-Go's at Red Rocks in the early 80s or Barry Manilow in the mid-70s.

Nothin’ wrong with the Go-Go’s. I saw them in ‘84 and they were a lot of fun. They could definitely get the job done live.

It's funny I don't have an excel spreadsheet for concerts I've been to, but I do suffer from a form of hypergraphia, and as such I have somewhat comprehensive daily journals since 1989 (totaling about 20,000 pages). But I don't feel like parsing those now to generate such a list of bands I've seen live.

However, I do have an XML file containing all my gigs since 1995 (there's a whole bunch of bands and whatnot I did before then) and I can thus open a terminal and write a command line to quickly parse out a sorted list of gigs I've performed (and thus should be in my "concert list"):

$ for i in "Secret Chiefs 3" "Mumble & Peg" "Casino Royale" "Species Being" "The Fuxedos" "Research & Development" "JOB" "miRthkon" "Three Piece Combo" "Herb" "Dreamland" "Faun Fables" "Midline Errors" "Fuzzy Cousins" "Dropsy"; do echo -n $i": "; grep '<with>' gigs.xml | grep -c "$i"; done | sort -nr -t ":" -k2

    Secret Chiefs 3: 236
    Mumble & Peg: 87
    Casino Royale: 74
    miRthkon: 45
    The Fuxedos: 42
    Species Being: 40
    Research & Development: 35
    Three Piece Combo: 29
    Faun Fables: 29
    JOB: 27
    Fuzzy Cousins: 27
    Midline Errors: 20
    Herb: 20
    Dreamland: 19
    Dropsy: 7

That totals about 730 but these are hardly all the bands/acts/whatever but the ones where I at least played 7 gigs with after 1995. So.. yeah.

I think TFF is already embarrasing enough...
I remember I've seen them live in their heydays (80ies) and saying that I was "less than impressed" is an understatement.
A very forgettable event... (and I quickly forgot it !)
In the "embarrasing" dept. I've also attended a Nick Kershaw concert in the mid 80ies, but at least he was a fairly good guitarist and not supported by tons of sequencers and pre-recorded backing tapes.
I also remember about Howard Jones opening for no less than PETER GABRIEL ! This was before he (H.J) changed his hairstyle and musical style to be conform with the 80ies MTV-compatible dull synthetic danceable poppy songs. A big loss since he seemed very talented and a good keyboardist.
For the "less embarrassing" ones I should dig deeper in my big box of concert tickets I collected (going back to 1973 !), but there are hundreds of them to explore...I'm not sure I want to go through this painful ordeal, though.

I got rid of all my early stubs around 1984 during my religious period, which I still kick myself for. When I try to locate those shows on setlist.fm, some of those acts came round more than once in the same year, and figuring out which show I was at is next to impossible.

I have no clue what happened to a chunk of mine. I have them in ticket stub books, but one of the books went completely missing at some point and I have no idea where.
