Also...in case it would be of interest/value to folks (both those participating but folks in general): 1010 Music is having some sort of sweepstakes contest and are offering a free sample pack of Halloween sounds: https://1010music.com/contest2024

I'm not entering the contest but I was happy to download the samples
I can't even enter the contest.

Can't contribute because I'm not a musician, but am following this to see what you folks come up with.

Bumping this thread so we keep Mr. Hind's "Results" thread fairly clean

Looking forward to hearing everyone's stuff next week!! For me, I'm 99% done with the music and about to pivot to the REALLY hard stuff: the title for the song, and what art I'll use for the video still
If you're actually reading this then chances are you already have my last album but if NOT and you're curious:

I have two of three tracks recorded. I have some composing to do for the final track, the bass part, then I have to either mix it myself or take it to my friend who has a studio to do a quick mix.

I may not make this deadline, but I should be able to have something done by 10/30.

Don't let it shock you but...it's a pretty soft deadline Looking forward to hearing it when it's ready!

Cool. I'm making progress. I'm working out a lot of harmonies in the bass part, and that's slow going for me. I'm happy with what I have, though, so it shouldn't be too much longer.

All righty...quickie hack job of a master done...Ozone 11's "helper" kept trying to brickwall the damn thing to oblivion It's better now, clear enough and listenable. So, I'm calling that a wrap and starting on the art! Oh and some fun notes per Pat's suggestion

I have no idea how to master a track myself, but I like this service. http://www.waves.com for a decent and somewhat adjustable quick master. One day I will attempt to learn the art of mastering though. Looking forward to hearing more from everyone.

I have Ozone from some sale many moons ago, and it is certainly a very capable tool....in the hands of someone with vastly better ears than mine though Many times I simply go with a preset or use their wizards, and then just look for the enhancements I DON'T want...mainly I don't want a brick wall. So if I see too much limiting in the final stages I push the levels down until only the absolute sporadic peaks just tip over the threshold.
