    New Book - Entanged - Genesis 1969 to 1976

Just bought this one and thought others would be interested. Martin is a good writer.

Cool, thanks. I will put that on my book list. I have a bunch of Popoff's books, the guy must write them in his sleep. His Rush books are very good.

We're all listening to all the same old music, why not read the same old facts!

Because I'm hoping that one day (and that day will likely never come) we might learn a little more about Peter's struggles with his mental health during those Genesis years. I think it would be inciteful.

Poor proofreading skills along with just going with it when I type.

It's based on a records of a panel discussion with Martin and friends who are very knowledgeable on Genesis. It's a song by song analysis for all 7 classic albums.

My friends and l did that exhaustively over numerous bowls of weed 40-45 years ago ☺ l guess we should've written it all down.

I mostly smoked hash in the 70s. Still do but considerably more moderately . I'm half way thought the book - not that impressive for me.

That's because a lot of his books are "already" written. Meaning he often takes old interviews and rearrange them in a book. He is not a writer per se as a guy like Ed Macan is for example. He can pump then very fast since minimal writing time and "thinking" is required. The books are are not bad necessarily, but they can be a bit "unintersting" if you already know a lot about the particular band.

i guess my view after reading half the book is this could have more easily be presented as a video chat. It would have to broken into parts - per album.
