PROG-ROCK Diner for 10/20/2024: 10pm-12am EDT A bit spooky & a birthday nod

Hello, this Sunday 10/20/2024 from 10pm to Midnight EDT on Radio Fairfax at www.fcac.org/radio-fairfax and on Cable in No. Virginia (COX, Verizon & Comcast in Reston) The Prog-Rock Diner serves up some spooky treats to get in the mood for Halloween. We'll start off with It Bites, Ghost Rhythms, Goblin, Steve Hackett, Hal & Ring and The Incredible String Band for the 1st portion of the menu. The 2nd portion (hour) I'm starting off with a small tribute to my brother Jeremy who passed in 1990 because it would be his birthday. He liked Jethro Tull so we'll dine on a bit of that and also Shellyan Orphan (a band he loved and introduced me to). After that we'll go back to being a bit spooky with an offering from John Shirley & Jerry King. Then I diverge a bit with some Uz Jzme Doma because we're going to see them in Tucson Monday. We'll finish off the menu with more spooky sounds from Kotebel and Kayo Dot. Hopefully this varied 'menu' will fill you up and I'll post the full playlist close to the start of the show. I hope you enjoy it! Next Sunday will be more Halloween themed music so if there's something you want to hear let me know and if I have it, I just might play it.
