Ok...now there's no escape then for me.
But it's a good thing I guess.
Finally made a youtube of my entry. It is not Live and they wouldn't accept a photo I used, so I'm looking for some new artwork. And I have to re-edit it through distrokid. In the meantime, hares my thang.
Still alive and well...

Okay, so here is my band Off Time (yes, our drummer named the band, lol). After 20 years of improvisation, we have started to throw some songs together. This one is mine with lyrics by the vocalist, and it's very simple and straight forward. I was going to call it Porcupine Floyd, lol, but our singer gave it a name along with her lyrics. Anyway, live in our drummers basement. I made the half assed video. Cheers.
Infandous…. That was great. I love the singers voice. So far you are the first with a live recording! Good song!!

Hi folks! Back from a bit of a crazy few weeks for various random reasons...
So despite a somewhat soft response in the main forum, I'm really happy with how this little challenge played out. Mostly because it was fun giving everyone an excuse to be a little creative (and man, the results were all terrific!). Apologies for a few of you who didn't get included in the initial response (BobM, infandous)! In the end though, much gratitude to everyone who contributed and to everyone who listened and/or offered feedback
So in terms of next time, here are some random thoughts:
- I personally like the idea of a Halloween challenge as it does kind of give a "focus" for the creativity without necessarily being too constricting (being a big fan of the fall season tends to fire up my creative juices, speaking for my own selfish interests).
- Perhaps we can consider giving folks a bit more lead time, like kicking things off in August or September so it's closer to 60-90 days rather than 30. Some of us are pretty darn fast but challenge might get even more takers with a little more time offered.
- That bit of extra lead time might give some folks an opportunity to try and actually collaborate next time if they'd like.
All of the above being said...this isn't MY challenge, I just got the proverbial ball rolling I can help coordinate things obviously and send out messages, start threads...but would love folks to offer their ideas as well!

Me too! I agree that the autumn is the best time for composing and this challenge made me work even harder (a song/track idea per week at this point).
I found out about this thread on the main page and didn't comment on it, but I enjoyed all the music. Kudos to everyone involved, especially Mr Battema.
I discovered the challenge a bit too late this time, but I may come up with something next time. Looking forward to it.
