I've said so many times, I imagine most people probably don't need to hear me say it again, but I want the Ritz show from 81. I still say that's the definitive version of the Drowning Witch/What's New In Baltimore?/Moggio suite, and we deserve to have it in the best possible fidelity.
All the money, in unmarked bills would be nice.
If they released the Pittsburgh Syria Mosque March 8, 1988 show, I would bet it would be one of the most popular releases ever. I was there, and the set list was incredible. His playing was completely off the charts. Of the five times I saw him, including two weeks prior to this one, it was, by far, the best. And they were all great.
Luckily, an audience recording is available.
Set 1:
Stink‐Foot
Peaches en Regalia

Set 2:
Eat That Question
Black Napkins
Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown) (The Beatles cover) (With "Norwegian Jim" lyrics)
Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds (The Beatles cover) (With "Louisiana Hooker With Herpes" lyrics)
Strawberry Fields Forever (The Beatles cover) (With "Texas Motel" lyrics)
Sharleena

Why Does It Hurt When I Pee?

Oh No
Lumpy Gravy
"The White Zone is for loading and unloading only. If you got to load or unload go to the White Zone!"
The Roxy movie was my #1 item for so long. With it out, anything else is gravy. But one thing I'd love to see is for some of the video footage from the 1988 tour to come out. They mentioned Barcelona, but when I saw them in Columbus, there was a 60 Minutes film crew filming most of if not the whole show. I have to wonder if there's other video of the 1988 tour lurking around.
A One Size Fits All box set would also be great as they talked about on the video.
I'd like to hear The Yellow Shark mixed in surround similar to how it was panned during the original performances.
Anybody else concerned that The Vault is now in the custody of these guys?
I continue to carry on my one-man campaign for a release of San Diego 3/24/73, with special guest Don Preston. Since it didn’t happen with the Overnite Sensation box, I’m afraid it will probably never happen now. But the world is missing out.

I'd like this, especially since the audience recording isn't that good if I remember right. He only performed "Uncle Remus" live a few times so that's notable.
As far as it being a likely release, I don't know how soon they'll go back to March 1988 after the release a few years ago of the Nassau Coliseum show with some of the same songs.

"the masses have spoken, and this has appropriately vanished into the great Prog boner pile in the sky."
“Remember, if it doesn't say "Cuneiform," it's not prog!” - THE Jed Levin

please add 'imo' wherever you like, to avoid offending those easily offended.
Yep, the day after the Hollywood Palladium show that was included in the Over-Nite box. The two shows on the box, between them, do cover a lot of what happened at the San Diego show. But there are still a number of unique aspects to the 3/24 show: the presence of Don Preston sitting in, Frank's "Imaginary Diseases" rap (the only part of the show that has been made public), and a special "conducting the audience" routine.

The raw footage almost certainly no longer exists. When they do stuff for news things, they edit the footage down for the piece, then they erase the masters. Given the fact that we're talking about the company that very nearly ran Fender into the ground, I wouldn't hold out much hope.
On at least one of the Zappacasts the subject of '88 video came up. I remember Joe mentioned a show in Madrid where FZ added distracting visual effects to the master, but nothing one way or the other about 60 Minutes.
Also, I suspect that they didn't actually film entire songs anyway. They knew they were going to be using just a few short bits in the finished broadcast, so I imagnie they just did a few minutes here, and few minutes there, etc. And who knows what kind of audio you're talking about. Always seemed to me like when you saw some of that kind of stuff on TV, it always sounded like they used whatever mics they brought with them to capture the audio, as opposed to take a feed from the mixing desk or whatever.
Probably doesnt exist... but my favorite bootlegged show would be April 1, 1979 Zurich. Vinnie on overload and let loose! A super duper Outside Now too.
Artist formerly known as Phlakaton
Zurich 1979 probably is in the vault as one of the "road tapes" recorded on the portable four-track, although it may have cuts or flaws that would make it tricky to release.
I can't imagine for one moment that Joe, Ahmet et al aren't fully aware of what is available on bootlegs (and the quality of those recordings).
I think it has mainly been policy to release shows that the bootleggers missed - there are only a few exceptions to this.
I tend to agree with the continuation of that policy which means I can hardly request anything I haven't heard yet!
I'd be most curious about studio recordings, jams and prototypes etc. but who knows what might be available in the vault that is in a releasable state.
That said, I would consider buying a soundboard recording of a good show that is commonly available on bootleg providing that it wasn't overpriced. I am concerned that the pricing of Zappa box sets is getting somewhat out of hand.
The things on my wish list have been issued and then it seems gone out of print. Feeding Monkeys, Wazoo, Dance Me This...
'I would advise stilts for the quagmires"
I'd like to see full blown multidisc sets of One Size Fits All, Grand Wazoo, Waka/Jawaka, more from the Bongo Fury tour and anything recorded live in my hometown of Detroit.
