Echolyn: Reaching Out to Progressive Music Fans - TWO NEW ALBUMS!

Hi everyone! This is Brett Kull. My band is gearing up to release two new albums: TimeSilentRadio II & vii
That's two 45 min albums of new material ;-)
We have Glenn Rosenstein (producer from our album As The World) doing the final mixes and mastering. We are headed to Nashville TN this week to do the work and complete this last stage! Very excited!
We are using Kickstarter to help raise the cash to pay for all the work in making these albums. Head over to Kickstarter and check out the details. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects...ilentradio-vii
We really appreciate your support and have been fortunate to make music since 1989 and share it with many of you. We think you enjoy the depth of these new songs!
    Here's a vid I just made today
    Cheers
    BWK

Album names are pretty confusing... TimeSilentRadio II & vii... I guess first album might include III, IV, V and VI but where is the I? Is that going to be released later as prequel in Star Wars style?

Okay. A bit unusual to indicate the number of tracks in the album title... Progressive!

I remember looking at albums and titles and credits, and on and on and on. It's a lost art we hope to employ again.

They are also both intervals. I suspect there are more meanings here.

Needing money to finance the expensive release of the music - are you going through hell for those who want to buy?

I think echolyn were one of the first bands to get people excited about prog music again when they first came out. I look forward to these new releases.

Has nothing to do with album sequence. Think music theory.

Here's another video to hopefully share and find new people to get to our 1000 supporters on Kick Starter! I was going to post it for only those that funded but figured I'd rather share it openly. Episode One of this series is for backers of our campaign to release two band new albums.
We got to sit down with Glenn Rosenstein and chat about our As the World Album and the new material. Episode Two is focused on ATW - 30 years ago!!

I wouldn't describe it with such a strong word, but I didn't either until recently.

If this doesn't get funded, couldn't they restart it with a more realistic goal? Maybe they'd have to somehow cut costs, but if they can swing something financially, that's a possible thing to do, right?

Why does it need to be mastered? If most listen to it on buds or pods does it matter?

  23. #23
Can save even more money by just releasing the stems and having us mix.

They want their work to sound good, most likely.

Doesn't it sound good before mastering? The money saved from mastering could possible allow them to release these albums.
