RIP Mr. Sinfield

My favorite lyricist. He may have left, but he left his mark for all of us to enjoy.
RIP. I wonder what his age was?
What can this strange device be? When I touch it, it brings forth a sound (2112)
He reached 80 years. I just saw this on Sid Smith's feed, sad news. RIP
Not many people can claim to be the co-inventor of an entire genre of music and write “land of make believe”

Pete Sinfield wrote such wonderful lyrics for Krimson and also produced and wrote lyrics for two albums by Italie's Premiata Forneria Marconi (PFM). His only solo album, "Still", is a quiet gem. I didn't realize he wrote songs for Celine Dion, Cher, Cliff Richard, Leo Sayer, Five Star, and Bucks Fizz.
A legendary figure in the music world has passed. I hope he rests in peace.
I review and blog at www.lazland.org
Now also broadcasting for two hours every Saturday on www.progzilla.com at 4.00 p.m. UK time! Full of musical goodness!
Sad news indeed.

This song has a very Sinfield-ian sound to it lyrics-wise. I can't really say that about most of his work of the 80s and beyond:
Confirmed Bachelors: the dramedy hit of 1883...
He was a wonderful poet and lyricist.
R.I.P Mr. Sinfield.
In memoriam, this beautiful and moving song:
Oh very sad. One of the best, and yes, quite possibly my favorite.
RIP.
He also produced the second (and best) album by Esperanto, "Danse Macabre"; I really like it.
He came up with the name King Crimson, in case it wasn't mentioned already.
His website www.songsouponsea.com has a LOT of interesting stuff. Watch out, you can spend hours in there!
RIP Peter! Some of my favorite lyrics were his.

I'm sorry.

Confusion will be my epitaph
As I crawl, a cracked and broken path
If we make it, we can all sit back and laugh
But I fear tomorrow I'll be cryin

my music collection increased tenfolds when I switched from drug-addicts to complete nutcases.
RIP
The last band I got into was Esperanto. Never knew he produced it until today.
A remarkable career. I love the Still album. Goodbye, Pete.
