    Big Big Train 2025 Tour

    From their Facebook page:

BIG BIG TRAIN – LIVE IN ‘25
FESTIVAL IN PORTUGAL ANNOUNCED FOR MAY 2025
NORTH AMERICA TOUR IN APRIL 2025
    TOUR PATRON 2025 LAUNCHED
Big Big Train are pleased to announce that they will make their live debut in Portugal at the beginning of May at the Gouveia Art Rock festival.
Lead vocalist Alberto Bravin comments: “Since 2022 we have been trying to bring Big Big Train to as many new places as possible. In addition to playing shows in the UK, we’ve managed to perform across most of western Europe and in the United States. We remain keen to spread our wings further, so it’s exciting to be playing in Portugal.”
Violinist Clare Lindley adds: “I’m really looking forward to Big Big Train performing for the first time ever in Portugal at Gouveia Art Rock. The festival has built up a strong reputation and we relish the opportunity to add Big Big Train’s name to the list of great bands that have played there over the years.”
Additionally Big Big Train plan to announce a North America tour for April 2025 shortly. The majority of these shows will take place following the band’s co-headlining appearance on board Cruise To The Edge, with details expected to be revealed later this month.
At these performances the seven piece band will be promoting their recent studio and live albums The Likes Of Us and A Flare On The Lens, which were released by InsideOut/Sony in March and September respectively this year to great critical acclaim. The live line-up will consist of Alberto Bravin, Clare Lindley, guitarist Rikard Sjöblom, keyboardist Oskar Holldorff, bassist Gregory Spawton, drummer Nick D’Virgilio and trumpeter Paul Mitchell who first toured with the band this autumn.
For the balance of 2025, Big Big Train will focus on completing their next studio album, expected to be released by InsideOut/Sony in the first half of 2026.
“We’ve got some great material in progress for the next Big Big Train studio album,” comments Rikard Sjöblom. “Everyone has been contributing to the writing process and we’re confident about building on the foundations that we laid with The Likes Of Us.”
BBT’s shows in Portugal, North America and onboard Cruise To The Edge are likely to be their only live appearances in 2025.
The band are once again offering fans the opportunity to become Big Big Train 2025 Tour Patrons. 2025 Tour Patrons and Passengers Club members will be able to buy tickets for the North America 2025 tour before the general sale opens. All 2025 Tour Patron details can be found here:

I had to pass on Cruise to the Edge 2025 ... an agonizing decision. If they play anywhere in or near Texas on their North American Tour in 2025, I am going! Heck, I just might go even if they are NOT playing in or near Texas.

If they come to Chicago or (preferably) Milwaukee, I will definitely try and get to see them. We are going to catch them on CTTE, but would love to catch stand alone shows, as well. Glad to see they are playing more dates!

We loved their show at the Regent in Arlington (Boston area) and will be sure to catch them again. Ideally, would see shows in the Boston area and Montreal....of course, if they wanted to play the Academy of Music here in Northampton where they were booked for "The Tour That Never Was", we'd be very happy!

Hope they come within 50 miles or so.

My limit is a day's drive. North to Boston, west to Cincinnati, south to Raleigh, let's say. I would go to every show within that arc; this year's NJ concerts were worth every effort and dollar I put towards going.

I believe the Michigan and Illinois venues are new. Also last year's ended with CTTE, rather than basically beginning with it. (Sweetwater is where they will rehearse for the tour, if last year is precedent, and thus that's why it's the first show.

Tickets go on sale for Tour Patrons and Passenger Club members Wednesday at 10AM. Public sale starts Friday at 10AM. https://www.bigbigtrain.com/live/

Yes, they have never played Michigan before. The Token Lounge is a cool small club in Westland Michigan outside of Detroit. We will still be in Florida after CTTE unfortunately, but I have been to several shows at the Token and it would be a great place to see them band.

I'm surprised they are booked at the Arcada in St. Charles. Yes, the Arcada books a lot of semi-mainstream prog acts, it is also a 1000+ seat theater.

I'm due to visit some family in the Chicago suburbs early next year, so the St Charles show will work for me and the Mrs.!

If anyone has a pre-sale code they can share, I would appreciate it! Seeing Big Big Train is definitely on my Bucket List!

I may have to opt for Buffalo. 2 shows and hotel in NJ is just too much $$$.

Did you find any sort of code? I don't even see it on the Arcada's page yet. The FB announcement said tix later this week, I believe.

Ken, we met and spoke after one of the last NJ shows, right? I think. I went to both of those shows, and felt that one would have been enough, to be honest. Just because the differences in setlist were pretty minimal, IMO. I should probably join the Passenger's Club, but I haven't...

The codes were for Passenger Club members and Tour Patrons -- eg, they cost money. But none of these venues really have bad seats, nor are the larger ones (sadly) likely to sell out. Last year in NJ there were a lot of empty seats.

Here's a code I can share, though, for New Jersey: “Use Promo Code: BigBig2Day at checkout to get $25 off when you purchase a 2nd night!" Since each night must be a separate transaction, this will work. We who paid for the privilege of early access also paid again because only one code can be used per transaction, so we had to use the early access code for the secoind night, not this one.

I realized it was the Patron code after posting (kind of a duh moment). I've done that with some bands in the past but am not a paid patron with them so I will wait until the public onsale. The Arcada shouldn't be a problem in terms of getting okay seats - we aren't looking for front row, just decent and that venue will be fine. Thanks for the info.

    Regent is 450.

    Theatre Fairmount is 600.

Above, someone said the Arcada is 1000?
