Tim Berne says that there will be a new Sun of Goldfinger release up by Bandcamp Friday:
    Howdy Folks,
Got some news for upcoming Bandcamp friday.
We managed to get a multi-track recording of the Sunny Four (sun of gold plus Aurora Nealand)gig in Philadelphia at Solar Myth.
David mixed it last week while i napped intermittently and it came out great!
If you don't believe me here's what Aurora had to say about it:
"The Sunny Four is the result of a series of amalgamated and misconstrued life decisions of Tim Berne, David Torn, Ches Smith & Aurora Nealand, resulting in their simultaneous convergence in a backroom bar where they attempt(ed) to make sonic order and subsequent disarray stemming from the systemic question, “If not me, whom? If not Now, why would everyone be staring at me?”
(The Sunny Four would especially like to Thank the Frequencies between 27.5 - 400 Hertz." )
Anyway, this will be available late thursday night or early friday and is well worth the cost of a cheap lager.

There are two albums with Torn on Michael Shrieve's Bandcamp, both are very much worth listening to!:

The Leaving Time went OOP pretty quickly after it was released. I remember buying it as an inexpensive cutout, and then when I found a few more copies, buying them to send to other Torn fans who I'd met online, in the pre-WWW days. There was a Door X e-mail group at one point, and another one for Fusion fans, and I think it was probably via one of those groups.

It they'd put this out a week earlier, it would have made a nice Bandcamp Friday item where they'd keep all the proceeds.

^ Thanks, I'll check this out, looks like a great lineup!

Last night I listened to the live Belew Levin Upper Extremeties album. Torn is on that, and he's excellent. It really sounded at times like the band had someone playing keyboard synths.

And now I'm listening to Sonar - Live at Moods, which is also with David Torn, and his playing is very good on it as well.

There are no preview clips, so let me just say if Sun of Goldfinger's output or the more recent Sunny Five are more out-there than you find enjoyable, this is in that same category.

    Oh man. I’m in.

Dunn and King Buzzo are doing some touring late summer.
I want to dynamite your mind with love tonight.

Screwgun (Berne) announced to their Bandcamp followers that they'll be recording these shows.
    Hello Hello
If any of you live in New Orleans we're doing this residency in April and recording it live.
Yes,I'm certifiable for doing but fuck it...you only live twice.

I bought the first couple of CD's of singer Sarah Fimm up to the moment she went "digital only". Still, it's nice to see she keeps on to work with fine musicians. On the track What Are You Thinking (2023) David Torn plays some lovely cloud-guitar, including a solo. The woman featured in the youtube-clip on Bandcamp is Donna Lewis with whom Torn worked too.

    This is the music-only clip:
