I blame Wynton, what was the question?

It's here, the holiest of all PE holidays. I shall now spend my morning in quiet contemplation to appreciate this annual event. Here's the soundtrack:

I don't like country music, but I don't mean to denigrate those who do. And for the people who like country music, denigrate means 'put down.'- Bob Newhart

He would, but he's too busy with the rest of his kingdom.

    Happy birthday, old(er) friend

After nearly two decades of chatting prog nonsense with this PE legend, I finally got the chance to wish him a slightly belated happy birthday in London this evening.

Is that where the name Florence & The Machine comes from?

If Lino starred in movies about his life, we now have a new name for one of the sequels:

"Lino in Florence" -- opens July 4th everywhere in 3-D

It was absolutely wonderful to finally meet Lino and his lovely wife Denise (plus Lino's niece and her partner). We shared a few beers, a lot of chat and a huge Chinese dinner in Chinatown. This was a short London interlude as they were headed for an Italian vacation of a lifetime (including Florence of course). Next time, the stories will be more epic!
