Hopefully they'll be back. They're genuinely great live.
If you're actually reading this then chances are you already have my last album but if NOT and you're curious:

I'm still on Priest binge. Just listened to Angel Of Retribution on Youtube, the whole album. Loch Ness is 13 minutes of sludge. Love it.
Going to see Jinjer this Friday. Excited!
"Always ready with the ray of sunshine"
yeah I caught the BTBAM, The Dear Hunter and Leprous tour a few weeks ago as well.
Also caught Protest the Hero w/ Thank You Scientist and Closure in Moscow a couple of weeks ago live.
both good shows
Listening to JP Rocka Rolla on YouTube, the whole album. Not sure why it's treated with derision, even by Rob. I think it's a good early 70s heavy metal record. What do people expect Judas Priest to sound like in 1974?
Not usually into Dimmu Borgir, but loving "Interdimensional Summit" a LOT. Might grab this album at Maryland Death Fest...
"Alienated-so alien I go!"
Np: Lock Up The Wolves.....Ronald James Padavona.......

I love The Rods. "Nothing Going On In The City" has always been one of my favorite heavy metal songs. Really underrated band. Their last album "Vengeance" from 2011 was also good (and had with "The Code" one of Dio´s last recorded songs). Let them Eat Metal should be a heavy metal classic, maybe the cover artwork wasn´t helpful...
Pure Spinal Tap..... Today it'd be censored, or wouldn't allow it altogether. But yeah, I like The Rods. My guess is they didn't sell out by relocating to the Sunset Strip. Fun 80s metal album. I'd like to get their CDs but I'd have to buy them online, which I'd rather avoid. We'll see.
FWIW...the new Cult of Luna/Julie Christmas album 'Mariner Live' arrived yesterday evening. I wasn't the biggest fan of Mariner at first although it did grow on me...but good god DAMN this live set is hot. They sound amazing.
CoL are still probably my favorite metal band going these days.

Been listening to RIOT on YouTube a lot lately. I've seen their silly album covers posted on PE for years but thought they were some joke band. They are no joke. They smoke!
I listened to Narita and Fire Down Under a lot in my teens (I don't think I own Rock City). I bought Restless Steel and Born In America when they came out, but I didn't care for Rhett Forrester's voice as much as I did Guy Speranza, the original singer. I got off the Riot bus after that, but I still have those 4 studio albums (and a live one too) one vinyl.
I recently saw a RIOT documentary on Tube. It wasn't a slick professional job but very interesting. RIP Mark and Guy.
I've listened to Rock City. Next up , Narita. Late 70s heavy metal. That is my metal. I'd love to buy the CDs but they're probably out of print.
Eeeesh. I've played Power Metal by Pantera twice today.
Listening to Angel Of Retribution by Priest again. British metal at its finest. Epic.
NP: Kreator.......World War Now.
I had a chance to see this group about 10 years ago in a small club in Ft. Lauderdale. At the time I think I was scared......
Ooooofffff.......Teutonic Thrash!
Local band from Northern Jutland (Song title: Hang them up)
New Immortal on the way. The return of Demonaz on guitars, brought back their relentless assault of icy frenzy. Very promising...
