Hopefully nobody will mind another post on the KoMaRa topic, but this was sent to users who follow KOMARA on Bandcamp:

Hello,

KOMARA 2 is in process. At the end of the year, David will visit Pat in Texas and they will try to finish the KOMARA 2 album.
As David says, "We have a lot of material, but I don't feel comfortable doing it remotely. Komara was about joint live improvisation in the studio."

We managed to collect 300 euros for David's trip to Texas. It's about a third of the cost of a plane ticket.

David launched an Indiegogo campaign for his new album. He would finance the trip to Texas from the collected money.

According to recent comments by Jakszyk, those recordings are still in the pipeline for release in some format or other. But personally, I'd be very surprised if it came out as A NEW STUDIO ALBUM FROM KING CRIMSON. TPTB seems like a more fitting end chapter to a mostly flawless catalogue.

Is this the Prog interview? Jakko is asked if King Crimson was now over and replies, "The honest answer is, you'll have to ask Robert. [...] One of the things we have been doing of late is recording studio versions of the new material. We've used the live recordings as a template, and I've done guitars, overdubs and backing vocals. Whether that comes out as a King Crimson album or whether it lies in the vaults, I don't know."

It would seem odd to release that material under any other name other than King Crimson, or at least a Crimson ProjeKct. If it comes out.

My source was the Strange Brew podcast but that quote is essentially what he said there. And I do agree it would be odd not release as King Crimson, I just can't see it being a canon studio album.
For one, there was only about 25 minutes-worth of newly composed material performed if you exclude the drum pieces. If I'm counting correctly there was only these...

If you included the drum pieces, I don't know what that would bring it too. And I don't know if those would be recorded as studio versions as well, to sound like they did at the shows, or if they'd flesh them out further.

I'd still like to see the 37 Forms material see the light of day as well.

I kind of assumed the Tring studio recording (from the KC @ 50 box) would end up the final/definitive version of the whole Radical Action set of material. But I'd be happy to be wrong and hear a more "studio-ized' version at some point.

I would imagine that any “studio album” would include at least banshee legs, hell hounds, devil dogs, and drumzilla - those were all drum pieces that the 3 drummers came up with and imagine fripp would want to highlight.

There’s also Hoodoo which they only did in 2014 - that was kind of an improv piece I believe.

Catalytic 9 and fairy dust of the drumsons were also things that were done.

I could also imagine fripp picking a pre-show soundscape with the little improv they would noodle to it every show. Then prolly track 2 is hell hounds and then on we go…

SUPPOSEDLY there’s also stuff they recorded that they didn’t play on stage. That from the Mel Collins rollingstone interview in 2021 where he referenced some kind of studio record being brewed up.

Will definitely be curious if this is in the cards - obvi fripp has closed down the band for live performance, and perhaps a “studio album” built on some of the bones of live performances becomes the cherry on top send off of a final set of new stuff. We’ll see what does or doesn’t happen.
