Anyone else curious why it isn't on Cuneiform?
Will wayside still carry it?

Well Steve F said it's a Japan only release and Cuneiform aren't a Japanese label though it will be available through Wayside. He didn't expand beyond that and I assume it's a DD decision and we won't hear much beyond that similar to the Berckmans sacking.

I blame Wynton, what was the question?

I'm one of the 212.
It is not unprecedented for Cuneiform artists to switch to other labels, sometimes to eventually return... For example, Phil Miller / In Cahoots released "Cutting Both Ways" on Cuneiform in 1989, then Phil released albums on his own label, returning to Cuneiform for 2003's "All That" then again to self-production. Similarly Present did albums for Cuneiform in the 1990s, then worked with Guy Segers' Carbon 7 label and Dave Kerman's Ad Hoc while also putting out archive releases (and the upcoming expanded reissues) on Cuneiform. The latest Muffins album came out on Musea, the second Yang (F. L'Epée's post-Philharmonie group) was self-released, etc. etc.

I guess if that's all it is or it's something not for public knowledge, then yeah.
I assume we'll still be able to get it through wayside?
you'll have to wait for the unexpurgated memoirs.

So, yeah. Artists move around. They aren't prisoners. They can follow their muse or the hope of more money or of working with people they would rather work with at a specific time for perhaps a specific reason.
And, of course, labels might feel the same way about wanting to do specific projects with artists. They aren't prisoners either.
Every time someone isn't on a label where they were before is not necessarily indicative of a big deal.

Guapo left and came back.
Univers Zero not on cuneiform feels like an end of an era...and just wrong.
In that respect Cuneiform is like The Village in The Prisoner. We think we've escaped but at the end of each episode we find ourselves back. Back in Steve's merciless clutches. The brute.
Thanks, Trane. That was nice to say.
I am good enough pals in the real world with Kavus to insert my own smiley, but thanks.
Anyway, Kavus comes equiped with a lifetime supply of built-in smileys....

Ok. Just so you know, for the record, as Steve said, artists are free to come and go as they please however there's a very good reason so many go back to Cuneiform.
...and it's not *only* because of the complimentary drugs.
Insert one of the lifetime supply of smileys here.
