Nice stuff, that first clip sounds a bit more upbeat than usual.

I blame Wynton, what was the question?

I'm one of the 212.
According to the label Arcangelo (Japan) the release has been postponed until 19. february due to problems with the cover.
If you're actually reading this then chances are you already have my last album but if NOT and you're curious:

Looking forward to this. Thanks for keeping us informed.
Hope this gets some U.S. distribution. Only see Japan sites at this time.

I still have to get the old stuff. The only album I have so far is the old CD release of the first album, the one where it was re-titled 1313. I'll probably get Heresie next.
Univers Zero recently composed music for a series of experimental short films made during the 1920s and 1930s.

my music collection increased tenfolds when I switched from drug-addicts to complete nutcases.
Who knows - but he only plays one track.
Lets see what they do live, that might be an indication.

Yeah, I've also seen Nicolas' band (if the name Metropolis might ring a bell >> not sure, though) opening for UZ a fair amount of years ago at a previous Soignies festival (then named Alter Ego)...
Daniel had then joked that Nicolas was not only playing more concert than HE did , but everytime he had one, his own drum kit disappaered
In the same conversation, Daniel had told me to check out everything about Aranis, who had only one album under their belt (I'm mentionning this so as to see how many years ago that was >> I'd say nine years) .
Two weeks later, I was at Brussels' Kultuurkafe applauding them.

Based on the list at the UZ website (but not the part I contributed to), it would seem that would have been around late 2007/early 2008, at either Verviers or Courcelles. So, more like 6 years ago. The list may be missing a few shows, but I don't think they'd played Soignies until the double-bill with Magma in 2010, if you leave out, of course, the very old days (1977).

Actually they'd played that festival in
October
[23] Braine-le-Comte, (Belgium) "PROG FESTIVAL" (Braine is 7 kms away from Soignies)....the first three festival were organized there
Now that I think of it, Daniel and UZ were not playing at the night I'm thinking of, but he was accompanying Nicolas and see them play.... However Anndy Kirk was also o the bill with his Khazma project that night (incredibly loud, though)... I think the post-rock group Cecilia :: Eyes and Hypnos 69 were also on the bill that night
OK, I found the exact date on their site

The new album sounds like it could be very interesting. More 'upbeat' as Ian said, but it definitely has the UZ gene. I'll be picking this up.
