Name that defining album in prog!
Or what's your top ten songs from the Canterbury scene?
Or what CDs I bought this year!
What were the best of those CD? Heck! That's worth it's own thread too!
The fun is endless....

I blame Wynton, what was the question?

I'm one of the 212.

You're right, Sean. Limitless fun!
Nogthebad's list made me feel small and insignificant.

Yeah, but what's your favourite list, eh?
What if the Hokey Cokey really IS what it's all about?

The Yes Album--Tell All Good People
King Crimson's In The Court of the Crimson King
Genesis Selling England By the Pound
Pink Floyd's Ummagumma & Meddle
The Mothers of Invention--We're Only In It For the Money
Top 10 songs to get laid to.........

My favourite half dozen, pre-prog, pre-1970 albums.......(cat amongst the pigeons time)....as my definition of a pre-prog (or as some say proto-prog) band is one that was pushing the boundaries of rock out of psych-pop and towards prog but when prog actually broke properly they went off in another direction (e.g. hard rock, contemporary folk, pop) or just carried on playing the same type of music or simply disbanded (e.g. The Nice)
Deep Purple - Shades of Deep Purple (68)
The Moody Blues - Days of Future Passed (67)
Procol Harum - A Salty Dog (69)
The Nice- Ars Longa Vita Brevis (68)
Argent - Argent (69)
Strawbs - Strawbs (69)
Me also, I must confess...well, at least until the end of November...
