    YES 2013 Summer Tour- REVIEWS

Well, Sat night was the first night of the yes tour, where they played "Close to the edge", "Going for the one", and "the Yes album" all the way through. It was in wine country, under the stars in a new amphitheater, Great venue! The band sounded O.K., not great, but O.K. The mix was off. The thing that I kept noticing, was how sloppy Steve Howe is! I mean, I know he looks like Ichabad Crane, or one of the crypt keepers, but I expected more from a vet like him. I have seen Yes many times over the decades, and usually, they were right on, but not so much this time. Squire was good as was Downes, White and Davison. Still a good time had by one & all, and I got a BJ at the end of the night. Thank you, Yes! The end.

I am curious- did you just thank Yes for the BJ or for the show? (or both?)

Wow, they were feeling generous! Usually you pay $200 for the meet and greet and all you get is a handshake. And from Howe, not even that.

Hopefully not Steve Howe, unless Mondo Prog is into necrophilia.

Yes started blowing the day Jon A left, in my opinion.

Sorry - I was probably out of line there.

I just cringe at the "No Jon, No Yes" crowd.

Steve Howe & Chris Squire will die during one of their concerts.
Instead of these endless tours playing the same music, why not concentrate on solo endeavors?

Don't want to be an asshole but they've been doing this tour now for many months. I saw them in March in Louisville doing the 3 albums. They sounded very good except that the mix was messed up for most of the Yes Album. Howe was great that night. Maybe you saw him on an off night.

Yeah, I know Scott. I love Yes & I have seen them a zillion times. I don't have any interest in seeing them anymore.
