Tom Sawyer- Rush
Crazy Little Thing Called Love- Queen
"When Doves Cry" by Prince doesn't really have a chorus unless the "Maybe I'm just like..." sections are meant to be. If so, still not a typical pop song with distinct chorus. I don't think the song even has bass on it. Certainly not lacking in groove and attitude.
Roxy Music weren't much for choruses in their early days:
Virginia Plain
In Every Dream Home A Heartache
Pyjamarama
Street Life, possibly, they sing the line a couple of times halfway through but it's never repeated after that.
Iron Maiden - Hallowed Be Thy Name, Phantom Of The Opera. Hits? Who cares. No chorus, check.
Deep Purple - Child In Time
Many songs by Bob Dylan...
For that which is not,
there is no coming into being
and for that which is,
there is no ceasing to be;
yea of both of these the lookers into truth have seen an end.
Bhagavad Gita
Theme from Shaft
No chorus, no refrain, top 10 Billboard chart hit
I think the "feed your head" part that is repeated at the end could be considered a chorus(not sure).
Anyway, how about this little oddity from the sixties. And yes this actually was a hit.
