Why are the groups different?

I gotta say, I don't really like the groups. They don't show up in the "new posts". I don't like going to a separate screen to see if there are any new messages in the groups. They don't look the same as threads in the other forums. With this new system, are groups really even necessary? They're really not like the old PMs.

I wish they worked in the same way as the rest of the board - but they don't. I've asked the software owners to modify this in an upcoming release, but who knows if they'll do it.

So until that is changed for us the groups are what they are and we can't fix them. So - use them, or don.t...

We've asked for a few upgrades. The two most important among them are this, and partial quotes of selected text.

I'll be sure to do an upgrade if those things are fixed.
