I thought it was amusing and I hadn't seen the meme before. Most of the really long concerts I have been to were by the Grateful Dead. Three hours seemed to be the minimum they would play. I've been to shorter prog concerts.

there was a time when a Jefferson Airplane evening could last up to 5 or 6 hours

Hot Tune opened,k the Airplane followed and then Casady, Kaukonen and Covington would jam for another two hours afterwards.

But yeah, even during in the 80's (the only decade I saw them), the Dead was always above three hours, sometimes closer to 4

    A 3 hour prog concert?
    That must have been Grobschnitt.

Indeed -- the first time I saw the Dead was a "Day on the Green" where they opened for The Who. (A really strange pairing...) "Day on the Green" concerts, or DoGs, typically had four to six acts; since the Dead were going to play their usual full-length show, there was barely room for The Who's ninety minutes or so...

This year's Oscar-winning short documentary is about the musical instrument repair shop for the LA schools' music program. It's just ... wow.

When more people are added to the chorus during "see me feel me" things are taken to a whole other level. It really puts a new spin on this song. The whole performance was great though. I never saw Tommy the musical so probably something to look out for.

That "Jolene" sounds like a really good tenor.

I read about them in my newspaper about their latest show with the Metropole Orchestra on Roadburn this year.

I am very interested in their 2024 concert with the Metropole Orchestra, but it's not on YouTube (yet?). The reviewer hopes it will be released in some way.
