From Casa Moonjune: great album/effort IMO!.
"European jazz is promised a virtually limitless future if it continues to stick close to its European roots embedded in the subsoil of specific regional cultures, and it continues to be performed by bands as imaginative as the SBIQ. "Out of Ken Vandermark’s many bands and projects, Made to Break proves to be, time and again, the vessel for his most creative outbursts and boldest ideas ... rising from the intersection of free jazz, free improvisation, experimental electronic music, contemporary classical music, and enriched with distorted funk grooves. An amalgamation of styles that miraculously works out into an abstract, but coherent and at times hard-hitting whole.”
-Antonio Poscic, The Free Jazz Collective, February 1, 2016

Thanks for the heads up TheH. Either me or Soundcloud needs to figure out how to set alerts.
That second track (マッサマン) is one of their best, and that's saying a lot.
I hope a full album is on its way!

Still a well hidden secret, but for me the strongest German Prog band today. Polis Sound a little like Stern Combo Meißen with
more Krautrock and Hardrock leanings.
They will release their third Album "Weltklang" soon.
New Sonar w/David Torn out soon:

For those who missed the opportunity to get Alquin's live-album "On Tour" on CD when it was released as part of the compilation-double disk "3 Originals" there's good news: this month the box-set Alquin - The First Five will be released. It will include the first 4 studio-albums, the live-album plus a CD with B-sides and singles.
wow... extremely energetic, Karnivool traits in that. Tracks #2 "Wheel" and #3 'Tyrant" are dope!
