Pretty terrific video. I'm just amazed that for once, the camera is actually on the person playing rather than some random shot of another musician, someone in the audience bobbing their head, or colors. I suppose they were done with the psychedelic effects by 1973.

Not exactly new, having been recorded in 1979, but never released until now is Pool Of Sound, a short lived band formed by Charles Dickie just after Van Der Graaf had broken up. It's surprisingly good and an unexpected find. Apparently both Dave Jackson and Graham Smith played with them at an early gig, but not on this recording.

Splicer, I think this album is going to be to your liking; check out the last track, which is very reminiscent of Hogarth-era Marillion and has some great guitar and synths.

Splicer, did you check out this album? I just want to make sure you didn't miss it, because I think you'd like it!

Thank you for the thought and you were right - this one did slip me by. Appreciate the heads up.

I just love stuff like this. Just drifting along with the loops. My cat likes them too.

Someone posted the new album by Drifting Sun, “Veil.” I thought someone started a separate thread for it actually, but I can’t find that. Anyway, I’d never heard the band before, so I listened to the album and it’s great! I ordered the CD after one listen. “Veil,” as advertised, is Neo Prog with a difference. A lot more finesse and skill than usual. I’m really looking forward to receiving that CD!

I couldn't find any post on the album Blood Red Sun by Elevenwire. This debut-CD features Spock's Beard-drummer Eric Gillette.
Sounds like epic modern progressive rock.

Elevenwire is a progressive rock band formed by brothers Ron Hughes and Jonathan Hughes, and long-time friend and collaborator, Jim Armstrong. Their first album, Blood Red Sun, is a unique fusion of prog rock sonic soundscapes and epic storytelling. Featuring Eric Gillette (NMB, Temic, etc.) on drums! Mixed and mastered at EKG studios (Eric Gillette's studio) in Tulsa, OK

This is a wonderful album! If you're into 70s prog you're in for a treat. Tom is a genius for capturing the perfect vintage sound and vibe.

Ian Lynch - All You Need Is Death (Original Soundtrack)

Ian Lynch is in Lankum & is One Leg, One Eye as a solo artist. Worth it for the last track alone.
