    I blame Wynton, what was the question?

    Yeah I checked out another 2 of them, I quite liked the brutal prog one. Will probably just pick up Reason In Motion to start with.

    Thanks for the kind words on the first single. The second single 'Maracutaia' is out; it features a bass solo from Philippe Bussonnet (Magma, One Shot).

    Trojka (Norway) with their 3rd album released today. I have the first two and I enjoy them quite a lot. Some fine folks here may be thrilled by this small piece of news.

    I liked Tre Ut a lot but this one is quite a leap ahead. Really catchy compositions, great playing. Love it.

    Ascension, the new album by The Laconic, a project from Marc Pelath.

    This instrumental CD features musicians like Simon Phillips, Gary Husband, Markus Reuter (who also produced the album), Luca Calabrese and Fabio Trentini.
    No Greater Harmony sounds at times a bit like an Anthony Phillips-recording.

    Very enjoyable after one listen. I will say that the way it ends being the first part of a longer work is nearly perfect. The last song is such a perfect stopping point in that it leaves you excited to hear what come next.

    When you've ordered/bought the CD-version of this album you'll notice the track-order isn't the same as mentioned on the cover and on Bandcamp. The following should help:

    Track 1 = track 3 Apparition In The Vaults
    2 = 2 Stormlight
    3 = 4 A Fleeting Glance
    4 = 1 The Corkscrew Tower
    5 = 5 Pursued In The Snow Lit Forest
    6 = 10 Cinnamon Bird
    7 = 9 Together We Rise
    8 = 6 The Lost Room
    9 = 8 Journey Home (on the cover written as Joyrney Home)
    10 = 7 The Listening Trees

    To make the picture complete:

    1 Apparition In The Vaults 5:46 (featuring Tony Levin + two drummers)
    2 Stormlight 7:30 (Percy Jones)
    3 A Fleeting Glance 6:27 (Percy Jones + two drummers)
    4 The Corkscrew Tower 5:10 (Tony Levin)
    5 Pursued In The Snow Lit Forest 8:56 (Tony Levin)
    6 Cinnamon Bird 7:41 (Percy Jones)
    7 Together We Rise 6:09 (Percy Jones)
    8 The Lost Room 8:33 (Tony Levin)
    9 Journey Home 9:43 (Tony Levin + two drummers)
    10 The Listening Trees 6:54 (Tony Levin)

    Those who know Percy Jones' and Tony Levin's bass-tone might have heard this already

    According to Moonjune Records this won't be corrected in a future version.

    Just got this from the FB page of the Finnish prog band Vesilinja:

    "Our third album MERKURIUS will be released on the 11th of October on vinyl and cd and on digital platforms.
    The record will continue in the same style as our previous albums, although with even more delicate arrangements - We sought a bit more "orchestrated" sound on this one. Also the album contains our longest track so far: The Merkurius suite fills the whole side b and measures over 22 minutes, which will surely please friends of progressive music. Side a features five short to midlength tracks.
    A single from the album “Illalla” will be released digitally on 9th of September.
    You can preorder the album from Finnish record stores ..."

    I really enjoyed their first two albums, so I'm looking forward to this as well.

    The MP3 version on Amazon has the same track order listing as Bandcamp. Are you saying that the actual recorded tracks do not match the titles listed in the given order? Or that the CD has a different track order?

    Listening to it now... very reminiscent of Terje Rypdal.

    What I ment to say is that the trackorder on the CD-cover (which is the same as on Bandcamp) does not match with the order on the CD itself. The CD has therefore a different track-order (which I gave in post #4962) than the Bandcamp- and (as you mentioned) MP3-Amazon-version.

    Yeah - I got the old fashioned CD from Record Shop X, the best record shop in Finland for overseas ordering of interesting music. But I think you don’t really do physical media these days?

    The new one seems to be right up there too.
