Context for those who don’t know the story behind this song:

Steven Wilson and Mariusz Duda recorded heartfelt collaboration The Old Peace to honour a young fan, Alec Wildey, who sadly died from cancer.

Steven Wilson and Mariusz Duda have marked the tenth anniversary of the release of their heartfelt collaboration The Old Peace, by reissuing a remixed and remastered version of the song, which is now made available digitally for the first time on major streaming platforms.[…]

Nothing groundbreaking but I like. And all that for 1 whole euro.

This new release from French symphonic proggers Oddleaf is pretty fantastic imho. I picked up the CD from Laser's Edge and have been totally swept away with it. Loving the rich keys, the wonderful harmonies and right amount of flute.

Orchestre Tout Puissant Marcel duchamp -Ventre Uniques. Another good one, slighter shorter tracks this time around, but plenty of African rhythms and raucous guitars and maybe more prominent cello on this one.

    Hi All-

I'm happy to share the newly-released full length album entitled "Often Some Shroud" by my group Hollow Engine. While we're not strictly a progressive rock group by any stretch, our sound is certainly progressive-leaning: keyboard-based songs, unconventional chord progressions, dense arrangements, mellotron overdubs, etc. The album was written, performed, recorded, and mixed by the three of us with the exception of some woodwinds and vocals added by collaborators and some overdubs we did at a professional studio.

I'm providing the link below to a more progressive-leaning track on the album instead of one with a direct pop hook in hopes of potentially winning over the hearts and minds of my fellow adventurous listeners on this forum:

We've got the album up on Spotify, Bandcamp, Tidal, iTunes, etc., so pick your poison and stream away! If you enjoy it, please share it with friends, family, and strangers alike.

Thanks in advance for your consideration. Feel free to reach out to me directly if you have any impressions, comments, insight!

-Robin, the drummer from Hollow Engine

My first music video and preview of my first album in 25 years. Not the standard fare, if you are into that...

Consider The Source - The Stare

Guitar/bass/drums instrumental trio, with layered fretless guitar on top giving the rock a Middle Eastern feel. Mouthbreather has a slightly heavy feel. Trial By Stone is epic-y. I've heard most of their previous albums: I think this may be their best, compositionally. Less jam-bandy.

Thanks for the heads up. I own several of their albums and have seen them live a few times and always enjoy what they do.

At least on par with her previous, and possibly even better?

Thanks for the head up, I love her stuff. Wish she would tour the U.S. one of these years as I would love to see her live.
