The band is actually Il Rumore Bianco, this is their first full-length album. I got this album in an order late last week. I also got their EP from 2013. I've listened to both of them one each.

My first listen to the new album (the one in the link) was a little disappointing compared to how I felt about it based on the sample I heard. But I definitely need to get it more attention. The new Dungen is pretty cool and somewhat different from the early albums of theirs that I own. No vocals and just a ton of mellotron.
Syd Arthur's new one is a winner as well, a band who's sound makes me feel good for some reason.
SBB's Hofors '75 beats them both though. Archival it may be but man it smokes.

I don't have a big problem with the vocals. My issue so far is almost exactly as you say, the music is "nice enough," but so far has failed to really capture my attention and hold it. I'm going to bring it with me the next time I drive to rehearsal so I can give it a closer listen, hopefully I'll hear some things that encourage me to keep this. But 3-4 spins in, it hasn't really done much for me yet.
